grown-man jerseyed
unable to shoot way out
underdeveloped arms
hanging by threads worked for

bound with consumption
in zone of desire's lost action
weary beyond time's order
blazed eyes survey future's rubble

Bobby on crime
You always give the widest possible range and scope to everything you write, making it completely universal, completely applicable to anything and everything the reader imagines it might be. And it might be many things. I know you like to call this layers, but in this, it's more like mileposts...
I love how this poem converges on the one final truth here, that future is rubble. Can't get more universal than that!

Thank you! Your work shines!

Lucie,
Mind's eye of viewer is crucial to chosen style..A photo may be taken from perfect angle, with well lighted subject matter and contain brilliant colours. Doesn't mean viewer will know what they're looking at. They may have absolutely no idea. Something has been communicated/represented..Hopefully, my 'photo' in words offers mind's eye possibilities...

"Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood." -Thomas Stearns Elliot

understanding need not follow communication of your compressed confessions -"honour to poet (revisited)"

Your continued interest is greatly appreciated.
