Lead me not into temptation
I can find it on my own
I will bring my desires to fruition
On this earth I roam
I know where temptation lies
I n desire and lust
Pleasure flowers and dies
A momentary rush
Flashing like lightning
Roaring like thunder
To some, it’s frightening
To be six feet under
And having sinned as I had
But this is the way I see it,
While life is a passing fad
The memories last forever, lit
Up like a wick
That sits in oil
Not burning too quick
As you toil
In your personal hell
You will be alone with a fantasy
On the dark nights when I dwell,
I will have memories for my company

Poem comment
So, did you like the poem??

I liked this
I found this poem really interesting, esp the line 'I'll find it on my own' referring to temptation - thought that was quite droll. I'm not certain what Poewhit is driving at here, but it occurs to me that he hasn't really commented on the poem, just your attitude to life, lust etc. which might not be reflected by your words at all. Perhaps he could explain in more detail?
Take care
Paul
