(stolen from the 1945 Hollywood clasic A WALK IN THE SUN. The lefties don't get this--I'm sure folks here will)

I don't know Krauts? Japs? Russkies?

all I know is we're never
getting out of this fucking Army
til we've fought
the Battle of Tibet

Tibet
Well now, it's not specifically about Tibet--it's about ongoing war for the bad guys' economic gain.
Americans have become a little too goofy about all this Buddhist enlightenment crap. Tibet was an elitist theocratic state with a bunch of men in bedsheets having all the privilege until China came in and took over. The monks want the Chinese immigrants out--sort of a 'purity of being' cleansing. Or purging. I ain't at all thrilled with the Chinese lately either. Perhaps, if we want a Free Tibet, we ought to have a Free Iraq, and consider how we've treated countries like Cuba.
Anyway, there'll always be a war about something. The Battle of Tibet seems like the perfect antonym. I'm sure they meant that in the movie. Good 1945 ant-war, anti-fascist flick. I beleive the McCarthy bunch had this film and its stars and writers in their sights in the 50s.
