Gonzalez has just released a fine collection of verse, Sonata for Rain, from Wrightville’s Iris G. Press.
Carol Clark Williams, York Poet Laureate, says of Gonzalez, that her “poems resonate with the rhythm of a courageous and honest heart. ”Her poetry, Williams continues “synthesizes her talents as a visual artist with the language of her poetry so that her reader moves directly through image to truth.”
Gonzalez, a New York native, has been a frequent reader in the midstate area, and has been published in numerous small press journals, including Fledgling Rag and Literary Chaos.
A 7pm open reading will precede the feature presentation which will begin at 8 o‘clock. The Crimson Frog is located in
the Cedar Cliff Mall. Marty Esworthy is host. For further information: 761-4721.
