Where does the time go. I sat and remembered it
was 40 years ago that I was packing my JOE NAMATH
image and few things for departure to VIET NAM. I
was to report APRIL 1 1968 for orientation &
departure to VIET NAM. Funny a friend of our
gang was named APRIL. [small world]
I said, good-bye to CAMILLE her sister JO & MOM
& DAD. My friends took me out for beers &
party time. Today, I still live with the memos.
I arrived in VIET NAM APRIL 3 if my memo is correct.
It was a different time and a different America.
J.F.K. said, do something for your country, so I did.
Time and tied waits for no man. So the tides flow in
every-ones life. FATE - of GOD I guess was part of it all.

I am so , so GRATEFUL to every single solder that gave of themselves to such a life and history changing event! I was only 5 yrs old in 68 but have obviously learned about it in school. That era grabs my attention! Vietnam, Kennedy, (both brothers), King, all of those incredible moments are so much a part of all of us. This is only my opinion but I am so outraged by the way you men were treated for doing the job you were assigned to do. War is never pretty. Thank you so much for sharing. Looking forward to more, Tammy
