She was a French singer
who stole my young heart away
with cool songs of love she wrote
so sensitive, good I say.
I can never start to
tell you what she made me feel,
excitement through my body
with those words so softly real.

She was Francoise Hardy, a name
that easily trips off my lips,
another place, another
stage, there I guess she might have
launched a thousand ships. The
way she wrote, sang 'Only Friends'
it will always stay with me,
I feel like I'm in her skin,
slipping into the Tango
beat there on the way to Mars .
Look! Her eyes glitter like stars.
