My pace is slow,

My steps deliberate,

Eyes fixed directly on the concrete,

My attitude meet, my feet

Hitting an empty echo,

The only candor on a cloudy day.

The snow melts,

New water across my path

Forcing me to step over.

I look up, averting my eyes,

My head even with the horizon,

But not quite to the sky.

I see a new ray of sunshine shine

On a patch of reluctant snow.

The only thing paramount enough to disturb the scene

Is a well-wrought soul.

A boy in crutches approaches

Coming across my path,

Forcing me to step aside.

His pace is slow,

His steps deliberate,

Eyes fixed directly on the road ahead,

His eyes my anithesis, the crutches

Hitting a full scratch,

A sufficient candor on a sunny day.

winter poem
Nice measured rhythm and internal rhyme. No emotional connection for/with the reader, deliberate? 6.
