We are the crumbling ruins
Of the Great Human Potential
Weeping amidst the stones and ashes
Of our ancestral fortitude…

We are the one-way gods
With eyes to the heavens
And feet sinking into the grave…

We are the downward spiral
Helical declension
Building momentum against the truth…

Celebrate this world and worlds gone by
And worlds ahead and worlds beside!

Cassiopeia has lost her splendor
Her satellites are falling

We think we know
What we’ve not found
Cassiopeian moon
Shadow-shift
Ecliptic scatter-bomb

In the firelight
We are reflected

Vague portraits antiquating
On fresh vacuum’s forgotten
Back walls…

From dust
To dust returning…

The driving will
Says it all

"We are the one-way gods"
what I get from this is that human kind and human will move in every decreasing circles, accelerating all the while. but...

this is not as bleak as it sounds. as the human evolution/ incarnation comes to the end and the old Gods give way to new, something spirit, something essence survives/ is born...

what I read of this is everything changes, but soul is immutable...

could be ten leagues lost of point, but I love getting lost in your words, your poems always offer such scope.
