Not to breathe
Not to bleed
Not to feel
Not to foresee

(…foresight needed time)

Not to ask
Not to need
Not to find a way
To be

(…being needs being to begin)

(being begetting being within being)
(being is)

Being is…

Words do not penetrate
This placelessness

Metaphors becoming ash

All I know is I don’t know
But

Being always lasts…

worth the read for those lines alone... they convey so well a sense of ego loss and of rootlessness within the cosmic scheme of things...

when you the construct of humanity collapses, where is essence located...

thanks for though-provoking read. best to you.

non ego state of being....
Yeah...all that Shannon said and more, but words escape me. Thanks for this because it does capture that feeling of ego loss so well. Ego is illusion anyway. Better to be in a place of no ego any day. As a kid I used to come to a literal halt like an altered state of being when I would find myself in this empty loss of ego senses. I would be unable to move and my body felt completely alien to me. My thoughts were confused. "what is this thing I am in?" "What is this body?" what is this life?" "what is this being that I am"? "What am I"? In my adult years my lama (Tibetan monk teacher) told me that sort of things happens to evolved souls sometimes, so it is a good thing, part of coming to enlightenment and realization of emptiness and the nature of reality---you've captured that state here in this poem. Thanks.
