Speak to me in sacred tongue
In words
Emotionally alchemical
…Turn these sorrows back to peace…

Storms rage beyond these walls.
Winds shriek demonically.

A brazen sun falls through the lofts
And cuts its way to
The center
Of it

And I am cut as well…

I bleed tar.
I bleed a sense of regret.
I bleed and die supine and stillborn
From the womb this universe
Has become.

I bleed. I die…

Undone and unraveled
My body is now a feast for all of you.

Cannibalistic will to survive
Stripping my bones dry.
I turn my back in disgust…

Why fill our mouths with infectious flesh
When we can dine on what is best?

I fold beneath the weight of the stars
Entering that new realm
Once more.

Non-existence is never a state
That I’ve bore witness to

Well, I hope you have not gone into non-existence, which is impossible really, but that is for me to believe and for theoretical physicists to discuss...and this poem rocks.

"From the womb this universe"
this is both grotesque and gorgeous...

grotesque in its visceral quality and gorgeous in the path it takes towards the light/ enlightenment...

I like that the universe itself could be seen as blood-thirsty here, that the universe itself embodies and gives birth to such violence... it's an aspect of connectedness... not a pleasant one, but an aspect nonetheless...

hope that made sense. enjoyed this.
