--Last words of an optimist--

Dozen hours left.
Don't really worry much.
But the time goes quick
wasn't long ago
when small arms
were heard every hour.
It's only 3 or 4 times a day now.
But not much longer
I'm tired.
Six hours left
before plane leaves
might need a tranqualizer
just to keep it together
until then.
Guess I shouldn't have got here so early,
but you don't hear much gunfire here
unlike at the hotel.
I just want to get out
before retaliation starts.
At least we're far enough away
not to worry about rockets yet.
They're calling my plane.
Wish me luck.
