You know me from
The outside in
Between the lines
Under the skin
And where I end
And you begin
Is lost

You suffer me
I humour you
You twist the knife
I turn the screw
The soul that
Separates the two
Is lost

When all else fails
There’s always you
To lead me blind
To see me through
There is nothing
I can do

There is nothing
I can do

I feel the need
I need to feel
So heal me my
Achilles’ heel
Pay the piper
Spin the wheel
Get lost

You’re my last chance
You’re my faint hope
Too much pressure
Enough rope
The light at the end
Of the slippery slope
Got lost

When all else fails
There’s always you
To bleed my dry
To see me through
There is nothing
I can do

There is nothing
I can do

You’re everything
I once believed
My heaven
Immaculately conceived
You leave me bereft
And bereaved
And lost

You’re everything
I once believed
My heaven
Immaculately conceived
You leave me desperate
And deceived
And lost

When all else fails
There’s always you
And there is nothing
I can do

So where to now
It’s up to you
I’m lost

So where to now
It’s up to you
I’m lost.

I am still playing catch up for all the posts I missed commenting on. Good thing you've slowed down too because I would never have been able to comment on everything.

Seems since Lucy left for her surgery a lot of us have slowed down.

Anyway, kind sir, I enjoyed this and tried coming up with a melody for it. Fear I might be turning into Michael Jackson but without the kid fondling tendencies. He "writes" his songs by snapping his fingers and tapping his toes. Never did understand Europe's fascination with him...

There's such a hopeless feeling to this lyric that I feel we should be in a confessional booth. But who would be the confessor?

I know I wouldn't be the priest 'cos I enjoy head too much. Ummm...(face red)...I should add an ache after head but that would be a lie.

"Give us this, our daily head!"

Sorry, couldn't resist. I am going to hell but with a smile...

OK, 'nough of that. I LOVE YOUR WORK, MAN!

(Whistling as I sign off...)

confession
ha! thus leading me to speculate about all the fun you could have in a confessional booth ;) ... funny you should mention it though, was pontificating on in my usual insufferable way to a friend of mine recently about writing as a form of seeking absolution... from who or for what, is the big question... suppose from and for self and crimes of self… maybe we only need God ‘cause we find it so hard to forgive ourselves… then again, maybe I’ve had way too much coffee and am talking out me arse… quite possibly… naked and needy tends to be my general modus operandi at any rate *shrugs*…

I think slowing down is right… days are I grind to a halt all together… winter is not a great time for me health-wise and after a year an a bit of falling to pieces I’ve decided its probably prudent to slacken the pace a bit… writing included, unfortunately… bah!

Michael Jackson scares me… he always has… it was all that leather wearing, crotch-grabbing stuff… distinctly worrying…

I have a feeling I’ll probably see you in hell… my transgressions are numerous and varied… thanks for looking in, much appreciated ;)
