The Garlic and The Flower

The father of the family brought home garlic he had purchased at the market. He placed the garlic on the table and went to the bedroom to change his clothes. The garlic looked at a flower on this same table and said with disdain: "What a stupid man! How dare he put me close to this stinky thing?".

Thin Brook

" Why are you so thin?" The swamp asked the brook.
The brook answered at once: "Because I never stop working!"

The Moon that died of hunger

Starvation struck a very poor town where two twin girls in the age of six live. Once they were laying on the ground in front of their home that was full of nothing...even their parents passed away of hunger and sickness.
It is nighttime; the sky is cloudless; fatal misery and humilliation smell everywhere. One of the kids looked at the moon and said: "Yes .. a few days ago, it was fat and in a good shape,". Her sister replied in breaking voice: " Even those who live in the sky are starving! Do you think we will keep on starving even after we are lifted up to the heaven?".
After a few days, the moon completely disappeared, and the two little girls were not even able to say that it died of hunger.

Contraction and Expansion

" Is it true that things get bigger when they are very hot? and get smaller when they are very cold?" My grandson, who is eight years old asked me once, and I agreed: "yes, sweetie". Then she enthusiastically asked:" So, is this the reason why days in summer are longer than those of winter?".

Weakness
"What a tyranny!" The feather said to the wind.
"What a weakness!" The wind replied.

Frowning of the Sea and Frowning of the Man
Two little kids are sitting on their little chairs on a seaside in a sunny beautiful day, and they have the following short conversation:
"Why is the sea frowning in such a way?"
" I asked daddy the same question several months ago; he laughed and said that the reason is the rays of the sun falling directly on the sea!".
" How beautiful is frowning of the sea and how ugly is frowning of the man!!"

Your Stories...
Your stories made me smile as I read them-especially "The Garlic and the Flower". I like your whimsical way of conveying deep messages.
