I'm a published comic artist and interested in partaking in a little side-project from my main gig, which I intend to self-publish. But the problem is that I'm an artist and not a writer, so what I'm basically looking for is a contributor who has work either here, on Lit.Org or as yet un-published anywhere that would be willing to let me adapt it into graphic novel form. Ideally I'd want something in the Suspensful Horror genre, or Drama with Supernatural elements. It should also be longer than a short story, and I'd like something that is slow-build and not overly gory. I'm thinking more X-Files type horror than Jason X. I'm also looking for something that is either already written or near completion as I want to get started on this as soon as possible.

I intended to search through the archives on Lit.Org but it became too tiring and fruitless so I'm instead asking any authors here who would like to get involved with this project to send me a description of their story to for consideration. Please don't send me any of your work if it is not in the requested category or if it has had overly negative feedback, and you should also ideally not have a problem with me having creative input with regards to editing the script to suit comic book form.

The completed project would then be sold on, with the price covering Lulu's printing costs. This would mean no profit for either of us at this stage, but would encourage people to buy the graphic novel with the low price and help get word of mouth going. If we achieved, say, 50 sales and it looked like becoming profitable, then we could look at increasing the price slightly to allow for a creator revenue which would be split 60/40 in my favour (since I'll be lettering and colouring the artwork aswell as organising the printing), and I'd maybe look at purchasing an ISBN number which would allow us to sell the book on Amazon and other online bookstores to reach a wider audience. I'll also be consulting my contacts who are responsible for publishing the comic I currently draw for advice and/or assistance.

Also feel free to ask any Questions!
