Running through the forest,

Through the cold,
In bear feet and torn pyjamas,
Running, feeling the heat of your breath heat the air around your face,
Then the heat disappearing,
In the cold and dark of the cold winter night,
I stand, running through this forest,
This forest in my head,
The final way;
Nowhere to go,
Lost in the depth of my mind
In the forest that captures me,
In the cold that stabs me,
In the darkness that invites me
Iím trapped and there is no way out,
Through the insanity,
Through the agony of the rocks against my feet
Through the agony of the cold against my bear arms,
The branches of the trees that scrape my face,
The bugs that eat my skin.
I am left in a dilemma,
Which way to choose,
Without time to think, I keep running.
I run and run and run.
Before I can think twice,
My fate is chosen,
The path I have chosen,
Is over the cliff.
