Should the slacker-slim pickings of the voiceless distressed fall prey to the whims of Lions' Greed?
Those of formica-shadow faces forged of want, unable to
comprehend overflow and to-excess,
unable to realize or rationalize
merry ignorance must suffer at the hands of
those who forget
incomparable inequity of selves and slaves
for far less disturbing thoughts.

Merge head on with the mainstream maelstrom growth-shadow and forget the unwise
who fall prey to the lion, say some, the successful.
Disbelieve that little mouse inside who
breathes deeply of equality and exudes passion!
What use has passion in a nation of crocodile-lions?

Barbarian foundations will surface within, suffice to
resolve the internal conflagration between mouse and lion-nation -
an age old battle from within, though the choice is easy.
Split your bread with a stranger you'll never again see, or eat twice as much for yourself.
