Seems like everyone these days
Is keeping secrets

They say for the sake
Of not hurting me

I wish someone would tell me
What I do not know

Nothing really shocks me
Rain falls and lightening strikes
Constantly in my mind

My expectations are much worse
Than what you could possibly say

Contrary to your beliefs
Telling me the truth
Would relieve me

But when I sit back
And watch your faces pass

I see what it is you all
Want for me

To know without
Having been told

Well youíre all silly for thinking
Itís best to repress

Because I am happiest
To express

My disdain for your secrecy
Fraudulence and inconsistency

------
"Soul of my soul of the soul of a hundred universes,
be water in this now-river, so jasmine flowers
will lift on the brim, and someone far off
can notice the flower-colors and know
there's water here."

Have you seen it?

When I read the lines:

Well youíre all silly for thinking
Itís best to repress

Because I am happiest
To express

I was reminded of that movie, where Meg Ryan is walking off a bout of lactose intolerance and telling Kevin Kline that, "A healthy person is someone who expresses what they feel - express, not repress," and Kline responds, "Well in that case, you must be the healthiest person alive."

It tainted the end of your poem for me, because my lexicon scrambled up fraudulence to read flatulence.

Gah!

Luckily for us..
..there's no copyrights on words. Use 'em as you will (just not word for word, wink) and keep on writing.
