Sometimes love is never enough
To forgive this void
Beaten through this skin
For when caring is all we love
Then it disappears like breath
On my window
Still we sit for the drop
Hoping it carries beyond last years cloud
But sometimes love is yesterdays biscuit
With coffee not tea
Never to confuse the two for
Digestives don’t mix
As no matter if they sit and sit awaiting to dip
It’s never enough unless it’s gently cuddled
And shown the palms
To know, just to know
Love is not enough between these days
Left waiting and wandering
Sometimes.
