I will never love again
and give my heart away
as I have done with you my love
though now you've gone away.
I will never love another
as I have worshipped you
and worked and prayed
for your success
in all you tried to do.
I will never love again
and let my poor heart bleed
for even though God called you home
you're all I'll ever need.

poetry
can be such a showcase for emotion...and your heartfelt poem is a perfect example of that.

"you're all I'll ever need"
Bea, this is gorgeous, because here the memory of love provides strength, it fulfils and sustains, is fully rounded in space and time… eternal and infinite…

Once again, gorgeous

re:I'll never love again.
Thanks guys...I really didn't expect all your lovely reactions to this little poem of mine. (Actually, I thought you'd think it too "hearts and flowers sappy!", but those of you who know me know...I writes what I feels and there you are!

By the way...it isn't that I would never allow myself to have another relationship...it's just that, if you knew him...you'd understand why no one else ever measured up! He had a marvelous sense of humor and adventure. Men considered him a buddy...women adored him...kids and animals loved him. And oh yes...he helped little old ladies cross the street, whether they wanted to go or not!!!! nuff said.

I don't want to love another
This is how I feel about the "one" I wait for. I don't want to love another. I started dreaming of him when i was young. He actually didn't start off as a "he". Rather just a friend, a best friend. Then as I grew, so did he and now as a woman I
dreamed of him constantly. I know all of him, everything. But many years I couldn't put a face to the dream. Now...I want only the one who's face is the face of love.

I'm so glad I read this Ms. Bea. It means alot that your the type of woman and soul that feels this intensity. I do too.

Beautiful. Inspiration to keep on dreaming

Love you
