Body of white marble
Lies in a red sea
Rocks back and forth lightly
On bloody waves.

Damned by biblical law
Stuck somewhere in between
In the world they call limbo
A soul searches for peace.

The blood is getting colder
Hours already passed
Body, they will find tomorrow
A soul doomed to look for paradise.

"You might as well just be dust. Sweep up dust and it might contain a fragment of Caesar or Cleopatra, anybody, one day it might be me, but that is not immortality, that is just dust."
Francis Bacon.

That's Cool
I like the images, very " grab you by the throat" I think at times we all feel like we're there. I know I do. Maybe a little too short, but that's just my opinion. I liked this piece a lot though. Keep posting.

From Vodka Gods
Sinner...This poem is so cold. The words "The blood is getting colder, Hours already passed" sends a shiver inside me. You have the ability to reflect both warm and cold images in your poems. Thats talent.
