SOME ADULT CONTENT due to the fact that this poem shows what can happen to young girls who are neglected and mistreated.

When I was 15, mom made a life changing decision
to ship me off to Daddy's mom
Telling me farm life would be good for me
The real reason was her new husband began to notice me

Noticed also by Uncle Zeke and Cousin Hez
They would get likkered up, punch me around, and use me for rough sex,
That got old real fast so I skipped town
but not before I laced their corn meal with rat poison

Granny's cookie jar held the money for a bus ticket
This time farther west...Thanks Granny
Hope you had big insurance policies
on Uncle Zeke and Cousin Hez

I learned quickly what I'd have to do to survive in this new town
A loner , I promised myself , no pimp would ever own me
Now 26, three abortions and many STDs later
Unable to ever have children, I wanted out...needed one last ticket

Picked up a John at a bar, registered as Mr John Smith
I waited outside, not wanting to be seen
He unlocked the door and staggered in
Stripped to his birthday suit (He should have returned it)

Started ripping at my clothes, muttering he liked it rough
Punched me in the face and stomach (Flash backs of Zeke and Hez)
He passed out on the bed, naked I straddled him
Reached into my purse to retrieve my trusty blade

Stabbed him in the heart ( 12 times)
Things started getting a little slippery
Before I slid off his body, I leaned over and whispered
in his ear," Was it good for you, Slick?"

Confessions
although of course, the dead are dead, the poor girl will carry what happened to her every day for the rest of her life... no one "wins" in this poem, which, of course, they don't in these situations in real life... but there is at least a kind of rough justice... hard hitting this, and hitting where it hurts...

great to see a post from you again, Kacee, we've missed ye.

Slutty Muse
Sorry I took so long getting back to you, my friends...
I was overcome with saddness over this Wanda thing...Hope she can come to terms with what she did...repent and forgive herself..Who is she???
As for this poem...I want to thank Pen..She always gives me a lift...
Shannon, no one ever wins in situations like this...When children are thrown out into the streets to survive on their own...They don't all turn into murderers ... some are even killed themselves...How do we save the children???
jjd, How many times I surprise myself...I read over poems I have written and can only say, "What!"
Tina, All I can say is...my muse must be in the gutter again...that slut...I never know what she will come back with...
I know Chris...It isn't one of my best...Oh well... Kacee

Fair Forewarning for the Lost
If reading this poem doesn't frighten someone out of choosing the most torturous way of receiving attention, then I don't know what will. Thanks for posting this one.

Pain...
WOW...the imagery was vivid enough for me to see it all happening as I read...it saddened me then I felt blessed and very afraid for the very young broken and lost. It all sounds so true ...Is it?

I know that it has been a truth for someone, a painful one, I've written many truths and they were painful butr after reading them they were healing...to face.

I'll have to red more of you, it's been a while since I've read you but nothing this entense.

very wild ride...

Throw a ways
Aubri and L.M.J.....I wrote this after watching American Justice and then recalled a documentary on runaway kids...One girl's mom kicked her out of the house because she chose her new boyfriend over her daughter...The girl called her mom several times on one of those hot lines but her mom would tell her it was too soon to come home....What do the throw away children do but learn to live on the streets the best they can...
I went to an ex porn's site...She is a SAVED WOMAN and tries to help others get out of the business...For anyone who thinks that is Hollywood , with all the glits and glamor and a way to make big money...think again...They should look into the slop pails in the corners full of blood, feces, throw up, and who knows what else...This woman also has a list and pics of porn stars who committed suicide or died of HIV (AIDS) Beautiful people who got caught up in that life style only to lose their lives...WHAT A WASTE...Kacee

Yep you're right...
Nitz Kity,

I think that I remember the young woman you're speaking of; (EX-porn star) and I totally agree with your comment; what do thrown away children have to look forward to? without guidence and protection life can be hell on earth. Life can be painful even when it's not yor life that you're feeling the pain for...what can we do?
