Ancient Ways

To walk with knowledge born of whole
begat of ageless power of soul
from times when stories made of man
destroyed the ones where power ran.
In name of church and fear of earth
inquisitors killed all who's birth
carried on the ways of old
and threatened church's lust for gold
There now remains all but a few
who's birthright lets old ways shine through.
I know I've met them, felt their pain
as in past lives I've died again.

'Tis true that evil scours the earth,
but of man's greed, and not of birth.
I pledge my knowledge to the light
and hope one day earth wins the fight.

Ivor G Davies

The moment created this second, is a moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

State of the Church?
Wanda, Lucie,

Thanks for reading, this was born out of a response on another site and I felt it needed promoting as it sums up more than you can imagine of my involvment in the cruelties of the inquisition!

The State and Church could not be seperated at this time, but as State is not a universally translated concept I will stick with church which is. I do, however, totally accept your point, but am still not sure who's greed for power was the greatest at the time.

The pity of this period is that the genicide of most people acepting and practicing 'the old ways' prevented the natural, spiritual dvelopment of mankind.

Thanks once again for reading,

Ancient Ways
The Inquisition, and persecutions of all kinds, leave indelible scars on man’s spiritual conscience… powerful read, uncomfortable truth. Thanks for this.

Sr Davies, as always, a pleasure to read, a pleasure to travel along a thought.
