Why is there this sudden push
From everyone I love
To grow up?

I am only eighteen
And I just started college

Why are you telling me
To work full time

Why are you asking me
If Iíll move out
And in with you?

Why does everyone think
I should be further along
In my life
Than I am all ready

I just began feeling
Like an adult
And taking responsibility

I remember watchin my brother
Who never had any responsibility

He graduated college late
Seven years in total
He still spends most of his free time
Playing video games

I wouldnít even be allowed to do that
So why end my childhood so soon

Why force me into the work world
And into a marriage like
Apartment

When to me it means
Iíll have to give up everything
Everything I love

i know this piece isnt spectacular....but i wanted to reach 100 posts!
so i just wrote what's been on my mind

------
"Soul of my soul of the soul of a hundred universes,
be water in this now-river, so jasmine flowers
will lift on the brim, and someone far off
can notice the flower-colors and know
there's water here."

Amen
I know what you mean I am headed off for college in three months...
my one suggestion is that you put something between
"And into a marriage like"
and
"Apartment"
because it doesn't seem to flow or just doesn't make complete sense at first read

Everything I love
Yeah, it seems like you have to give up alot of the things you love when you go to college. I know i will have to. Especially because im going out of state. Good luck to you.
