Your heart was shattered; ripped from your chest
Sadness loomed over you from this half empty nest

You thought the end to your night without day
Only to be disappointed again with night instead of day

Your heart became hardened and you put away your desire
To love again with a burning fire

God has heard your cry of pain
He wept with you in your sting of rain

Soon you will love again in the brightness of day
As that terrible night fades all away

Look for him that rides a brilliant light
No darkness can take him not even the night
