on whose authority should i accept
or reject your complements
though i couldnt possibly agree
ill do my best to say my thanks

ive grown the habit of keeping quiet
but silence poisons just like lies
when you cant live down your mistakes
you learn not to do anything

i dont mean to say youre being fake
or call question to your sound judgement
but why acknowledge others praises
when you have proof that you are nothing

im sorry if i wrecked your sails
but i cant allow you to follow me
its not a path you want to trace
it leads nowhere
it leads nowhere

of all misfortune, the worst kind of fate is to have been happy.

an apology
hummm.... not as lyrically satisfying as some of your others for me. seems a little laboured some how, but the reason for that lies in its subject, I feel, "sorry" is a hard thing to say, even harder to say well...

I understand the feelings at work here, though- I think- despite not knowing johnb personally. we've all been there, I reckon, from both sides of the coin. I know I certainly have. its the honesty in this that impresses.

You are an amazing writer
That means, that you are anything but "nothing". I truly believe you have an amazing gift. You should never deny yourself that title. Wherever you are, whoever you are...you have a way with words. You have moved me in so many ways. I do not wish to follow in your path, but rather....your words light my own path. I LOVE YOU. Thank you for words, they speak truth, and I could not ask for more.
