You tell yourself it's stupid,
A bloody waste of time.
But still you dream about it;
A picture you paint in your mind.
Love can seem so pointless,
You'll just end up hurt in the end.
But how will you ever learn that
If you never take the risk?
You told yourself you'd never.
You've been let down before.
So why do you think about him
If he'll break your heart and more?
Maybe they're not all like that.
Maybe there's hope for some.
Maybe one day you'll find out
That he really is the one.

But only in their dreams can men be truly free. 'Twas always thus, and always thus 'twill be. - Dead Poets Society

Such a horrid question to ask when avoiding the risk. I like this poem, as I have always preferred to come out of love on the end of its joys and questions...just the truth. Thank you.
