So fresh and new
This vessel empty; void

Cries of hunger and distress
Mimic sounds; faces delight

Light, sound and color to see
Fills the day to my content

Crawling to see; soon to stand
Moving quickly to explore
This tiny world of wonder

Sounds become words
Words to questions

This vessel begins to fill
Adventure and play the daylong
Growing quickly; voice to change

New adventures and horizons to follow
Early memories to keep me company

Along the road I do travel
With many crossroads to choose
Collecting knowledge and wisdom

Savoring sight and sound
The smell of life and its wonder

Smitten by a flower of beauty
Its perfume heady
Nectar sweet as honey

No longer alone on this journey
A companion to love
We pollinate our lives

Soon there is a vessel
Fresh, empty and void

Circle of Life
enjoyed this most for "We pollinate our lives", which is a refreshing description, and I admire the elegant simplicity with which the journey is set down. Lovely.
