Dark and gloomy
To so many others
But to you
So calm, so peaceful
They hide from it
Under roofs and umbrellas
But to you
The rain cleanses, heals
The scent of desert rain
So sweet, so fragrant
The cloudy indigo sky
So free, so moving
You don't understand
Why they can't see it
And they don't understand
What it is you see
Dark and gloomy
To so many others
But to you
So peaceful, so free

But only in their dreams can men be truly free. 'Twas always thus, and always thus 'twill be. - Dead Poets Society

But to You
I find this a sweet celebration of another's uniqueness, and the example you have used to illustrate that strikes just the right tone. it isn't sentimental, but it is affectionate. lovely.
