I want to feel
His arms wrapped around me
I want to see
His beautiful smile once more
I want to taste
His lips as they meet mine
I want to smell
His own, distinctive scent
I want to hear
His voice whisper those words
But I feel
No arms to comfort me
And I see
So many others smiling
And I taste
The salt of my tears
And I smell
Things that only remind me of him
And I hear
Every voice but his
He is in my mind
In my heart
In my very soul
But not in my senses
Only in my dreams
Do I sense what I want
And only in my dreams
Does he know
I love him

------
But only in their dreams can men be truly free. 'Twas always thus, and always thus 'twill be. - Dead Poets Society
