Misses Mystery
holds a slim cigarette
between her forefinger and thumb:
she beckons me with the flick of her hair.
Ma’am, I implore you:
do not tempt me,
as I cannot possibly resist.
Misses Mystery
asks me what it is
which draws me to her,
to which my response
consists soley:
“why, madam;
it is merely your
presents.”
