I twisted it, reshaped it, highered it and fired it.
A definition of me it is, my heart and spirit on a screen so cold.
I googled and yahooed to find a picture of my soul.
Nothing came close, til I saw something so bold.
A definition of me expressed in a small red square.
Defiant as it flew in the cold nights air.
May your avatar tell the story of your life in just one verse.
From once apon a time, from his death, gave me birth.

IN THE END THE LAS WILL BE FIRST.

PERFECT AVATAR 2
an interesting idea for a poem, this, scouring the vast realms of cyber-space for something to sum you up... in a sense that’s what we all do in life, look for that one thing to define us, give us meaning and identity, this poem could be seen as kind of a modern version of that quest…. Or something… but, I couldn't help wondering, if we all found that perfect picture to express the story of our lives, would any of us have to write poetry in the first place?

Thought provoking, thanks
