Gracefully,
God
Bowed Over
The Mighty Sea,
Venturing To The Depth
Carefully,
Slowly Filling
His Cipher,
With Perfectly Pure,
Life-Giving Nectar,
Then God
Sprinkled
It Over
His Richest Land,
Embedded Diamonds,
In Jet Black Sand,
He Molded His Likeness,
Within His Hand,
And With His Breath,
Created
The Black
Man,
The Beginning
Of His Master Plan

Master Plan
There’s a fullness or completeness to this poem that’s deeply satisfying, though I can’t put my finger on exactly what… It feels strong, assured and purposeful, and the rhythm moves with the ebb and flow of creation… a pleasure to read
