I truly believe in the sanctity of family.
For many, the ultimate betrayal is their reality. The reasoning of my heart wrenching agony, the explanation of my discontent, the level of my resentment, can only be found in the eyes of the children.

To be blessed to co-create and simply walk away;
Remember, you will be judge by a higher power someday.
When you are face to face, I wonder what you’ll say?

Will you attempt to lie?
Will you try to justify?
Will you say that you were high?
Will you cry and testify?
Will you hang your head in shame?
Will you start placing blame?
Will you stand mute and lame?
Will you deny “The Father’s” claim?

All their lives, they needed you there.
All they wanted was your love and care;
But your total disregard became their emotional despair;
Because of the love and time, you refuse to share.

Well, the time will come and you will pay the price;
For not making that true sacrifice, to cherish those
who chose you; Stand before God, and receive your
Just Due.
