So every time I try to talk
a women interupts me
and then when I talk over her
her friend talks over me
and then all hell breaks loose
and all the women are fighting mad cats
and then my friend calls me selfish
and I don't have time to defend myself
the women and girls don't have time to dress themselves
and I don't have time to type for money
crank it out
for money
for sex and everything in-between

the words
they never come out right
I would be a fool before being your lover
it happened
in our car on Saturday night
in the full moon

Ruphies and French Fries
Cold water and ampetimines
that was our trick
gas and coffee with nodoz as a relative reality
cheesy communiqué
mayonnaise and salsa
yellow cars to boot
nice piece of asses that drove those cars
those cares
from today
and two dollar specials
In Downtown Toledo

it's not what you think
it's a little more than wanting
the way it is for your friends
and the way it is

sometimes glass cuts your buddy up in a car crash
and sometimes your heart pumps a thosand times a minute
it can't be stopped
your life
your time
while we played poker
and roulette
for or till
in the morning

good night my gamblers
coins and wishbones
american silver dollar
dreams for today?
Sick and hollow
frank and sense
and murk
with the bohemian
1994 poets
young girl from San Francisco
tramples all over the country
shits and eats shit
for once
You're beautiful
and you're not today
and you're not tomorrow
your here

dramatic, dynamic, gritty, grimy real... stanza by stanza, scene by scene, blow by blow... has intensity and impact this...

last stanza is my personal favourite 'cause it moves towards acceptance and equanimity with the present and reconciliation with the confusion and chaos of the past... a past that was nonetheless necessary, to arrive, feeling that acceptance and equanimity in the here and now...

all aspects of this life are essential. a rich tapestry, this.

Course, I could have missed/ misread the point completely (I'm doing that a lot lately) but I liked it anyway. so you know.
