'Legacy' Is a Great Innovation in Star Wars Storytelling
I'm extremely pleased with the 'Legacy' storyline from Dark Horse Comics.

My only pause is that the storyline is moving awfully fast from issue to issue. Major characters have been dropping rather often. One of the Imperial Knights was killed right at the get-go, and now the Imperial Princess has already died. Cade Skywalker has already been revealed as a Jedi to his pirate friends after only a handful of issues, and while everything makes sense and the story is well-told, I wish for more development and some more dept and detail to the progression of the storyline. I do feel it's moving too fast. I want it to slow down. I want to savor it. So many interesting characters and details were developed for this excellent storyline that I want to savor them all. I'm afraid that this whole thing might just eat itself up after only ten or so issues.

I want 'Legacy' to last.

Cade Skywalker is certainly an interesting enough character, but I think he's being plucked from his neutral place far too soon. The Jedi have already found and outed him, and he's already at odds with his pirate allies. I think we should have seen them endure several lengthy adventures together as a unit before anything like this happened. The princess and her missionary friend could have survived some interesting episodes on the way home to the True Emperor (Roan Fel) as they evaded their Twi-Lek Sithlord pursuer.

Perhaps we'll get treated to these things as flashbacks as the series continues to progress. I hope it lasts for at least a couple of years, because my appetite is whetted. I don't want them to churn the story out in just twelve issues. It has too much potential for that.
