Beyond these critical lines,
That added structure to our days.
Black, white and yellow dashed,
Forever straight or winding,
Leading different ways.

And I’d never ask, “Who are you?”
Or
“Where you coming from?”
Instead
Tell tales from “who I am...”
With everywhere I’ve been.

How I have traveled.
Walking from,
Cracked pavement to loose gravel.
I wonder…
If our shoes will meet…again,

Beyond these city streets.
