I think about you every day.
There’s not a day goes by.
I dream of when I held your hand,
The last minute you said goodbye.

Your mind was in another world.
To your children you couldn’t speak.
They called and said there’s no time left
Because you were too weak.

I came and saw you laying there.
Your hair wrapped in a bun.
I held your hand as you held mine.
Your work on earth was done.

I think about you every day.
The heritage you told with pride.
I dream of when I’ll hold your hand,
To accept my place at your side.

Lord, thank you for the years you gave us.)

I know the difficulty of saying goodbye to someone apparently already gone. I share your sorrow.
