Very dark hair, with a little gray.
Curls, no longer hang down to my waist.
Still a young girl, inside a womanís frame.
I believe in love and being in love,
And hopefully, know the difference by now.
A happy and sad clown, without makeup.
Crafty with my hands, creative in mind,
And very cautious with my heart.
Still a caring person towards strangers.
My first true love, father of my children,
Was lured away by another, for kicks.
And with self-examination, I finally see,
My path was laid, with heavy footprints.
I accepted it and changed the steps I take.
Like so many others, moved on with my life.
I am pleased with the person Iíve become.
Iíve been forgiven, forgave others and myself.
Donít need to look in a mirror at myself.
I am one of Godís children,
Thatís all that matters.

Loving ourselves.
We must first of all love ourselves...then...loveing others will come naturally.

Way to go Paula

Thank you, Bea. I forgot to give credit to my Lord. I had forgotten He was there all along, and when I hit a bottom-pit low point, His angel made me see things more clearly. My step-mom stayed with me all night in the hospital and when I woke up, we prayed together to leave things in His Hands. I was given a second chance. I knew, in my heart, that I had to make some changes in my mind, heart and soul. I did it, only with the grace of God, and I am so grateful. It was when I realized that everything my great-grandma, grandparents and dad taught me would have been in vain, if I gave up wanting to live, no matter how hard it was for me to continue. I forgot how forgiving and understanding people could be. Being honest with myself was not easy, but a good lesson in life. That was over 30 years ago. Thank you so much for not being judgmental.
