I needed the pier of a little white lie.
This suffocating leaving stuff
Dominated everything,
Through the mire -
Some strong instinct -
Tied to puzzles tied to time.
Maybe dying is like getting arrested.
The only thing I did was not yell stop;
Didn't cry or tremble either.
At least not
Such a sad death;
I needed a little white lie.
All slopes
Are eternal, as far as time can tell.

White Lie
"Maybe dying is like getting arrested." wonderful work. a few seconds after reading the implications of each line come back to you. Came back to me, at least, there's much weight to this, much scope to. the speculations are universal, and infinite... and one is not told whether the eternal slopes go up or down... sometimes so much "just is", on occassion that suffocates us too... So, being not very smart, I'm not sure I understood what it was you were saying, but I know how it spoke to me. powerfully.
