The Queen's speech is as pointless as ever. These Anti-Social Behaviour Orders are now being regarded by youngsters as some kinda badge of honour. Their street cred goes sky high and they think of themselves as being sooo dangerous. Ye Gods when will we get it right? How about confiscating their mobile phones for a week or two? Hit them where it hurts, if they're caught using a friend's mobile another week is added on and their friend has his/her phone confiscated.

Draconian? Yeah - like hell, they're allowed to get away with anything, their punishment isn't a punishment at all, in fact it gets them respect from their mates. Of course there will be the usual bleating of cruel and unusual punishment, infringement of civil rights, invasion of privacy, yakity yak and so on. I'm just bloody fed up of eyeing any group of youngsters with dread because of the possibility they've been raised by parents who have no idea about respect for each other or anyone else. What about my rights to go shopping or to the pub without getting verbally abused by a bunch of snot-nosed little bastards who have nothing better to do with their time?
Funniest bit though. My wife and I went out the other night for a drink. As soon as we walked out of our house we were called 'knobheads' by the aforementioned snot noses. They were really brave at a distance, but as we walked closer to them, they started edging away as quickly as dignity would allow them to and disappeared down a side-street. Well, we thought it was funny anyway.
As an end note I will say this; not every single youngster or group of youngsters we meet is like that and it just demonstrates the quality of their upbringing. When I say quality I'm not talking bank balances here. An atmosphere of love and respect in somebody's home doesn't cost anything. Ignorance of how to raise a child isn't the perogative of any one social group.
Take care y'all
In five hundred years time, most of us will be forgotten dust. But Hitler will still be remembered, God loves irony.
