Hey lit members...

Things have been crazy here for a while and I am quite confident you've noticed. We are trying to get things back on track. I am sure there may be questions or concerns and we don't wish for us to take writer's threads off track so if you have something you want to talk about bring it here.

Also comment validation was turned on but this is not going to be permanent. I hope to have it turned off today. Our intention is not to overly moderate this site. Anyone who has been here for a while can attest to that fact. Let's work together and bring Lit back to life.

Nae

peace?
Hi lovely Lit folk...I have avoided the site for a while as I find that it is less of a pleasure than it used to be. I have been around for just over 2 years and this sort of thing has happened before and will, I am sure, again. This time though feels more manic and hurtful and considering I spend every spare moment campaigning for peace in Iraq...I don't want to enter more conflict here when I do indulge in what should be, pleasure, leisure time.

I will always post anything I write here because it is where I discovered poetry and it always feels wrong to write something, post it to my own site and not here. But I don't really expect comments - especially when I am not returning the honour.

I do want to spend more time, but with over 600,000 Iraqis and over 3,000 coalition troops now dead - I am taking the campaign up a notch ....as well as vaguely considering some involvement with politics. Can't stand the way things are run - but can't get anything changed from my current 'outsider' position, so figure I maybe need to go right into the lion's den :)

If I had to take an example of calm, diplomatic and perfect approach to conflict resolution - I would look to our moderators here. The firm yet fair and humorous approach of Viper, the complete understanding of all sides of Rcallaci and the empathy and tranquility of Nae.

I look forward to coming back when the moderators have worked their magic and the demons have exhausted their mischief.

Fond memories and a broad Namaste,
Tina Louise xxx

Hey Tina, I think this time we may have this problem under control. It hurts to know that people such as yourself have resorted to staying away because this too feels like a place of havoc. I/we are doing everything in our power to bring this haven back to it's original feeling. Hope to see you around soon.Namaste.

Lit
I've been here over three years now. I have loved this place. I love its people and the diversity of thought and opinion expressed.

Lots of water has passed under the bridge, and sometimes in the flood things get stuck on the pylons. It takes some time to figure out how to remove the debris, and someone has to have the courage to go out in the boat to remove it and let it pass on down the river. I am convinced that the staff here has done exactly that at some risk to themselves. It had to be done, else the bridge falls.

I ask all Lit members to respond in kind and show this to be the best poetry and writing site anywhere in web land.

I am with them all the way. Trust the Lit.

Lit
I have only been here a short time. i fimd most the writers here to be great. I have been on other websites they dont have the closeness that lit has. To keep it the way it is the staff has to remove the debri. If not Lit. would become just another website.

Lit- Charlie and Wanda
Thank you both for your support. I feel the same way about this place. I think we can bring it back. Actually I have no doubt.

Hugs,
Nae
