A ceaseless cesspit of vermin and scum
As the Marxist overlords pound the drum,
Laws approved to suit their own needs
Furthering the cause for only their creed

The working classes herded like cattle
As the papers and television do battle
Fearing to tell the truth of corporate corruption;
Not wanting to cause the stock market disruption

Women enslaved in care work and feeding rooms
Perspiring of sweat, no hint of subtle perfume
A tormenting vicious cycle of birth and death
As a freshly delivered child soldier; draws its first breath

Employers in total power; free to hire and fire
One day of this, the working classes must tire
A spark is needed to incite a revolution
To end the years of tyrannical persecution

I have a suspicion this is true - Matt
Matt, I am an optimist who looks at the ways of life in the bright side, but your poem is sort of slapping me to realization that bad things like this could really be happening in broad daylight!

Nice rhyme, Matt!

Peter I too consider myself an optimist.I just don't know what happens when I start to write.

Thank you both.
