Where is she?
America the epic.
Where is she born?

On a dusty trailer park
Does she discover.
The aware
of the darkness on the
edge of town.
She is dragged
And undiscovered.

America the epic.
Still. Unborn.
She is the word
Before death.
The one;
Too few are aware of.
The missing
The unheard of.
The silence
Before the curtain

America The Epic
what I like about this is that the truth is in what lies unseen, undiscovered, lost, hidden, missing, or dormant... as truth often is. identity is obscured and not yet whole... the idea I took away with me is that America remains unborn while it is unable to look at, aknowledge and embrace the darker, uglier parts of itself. but I may have missed the point. either way, thanks for the food for thought.

For the comments and words of encouragement. It is always interesting to see how other people interpret a poem.
