raised on a steady diet
of MTV, sex symbols
miracle diet-in-a-can
fed the lies that would be
a nation's identity
yeah, they're the bible now

bought your first bra yesterday
hiding amongst
those fear-inducing Victoria's Secret racks
this is the day
when you tell yours parents "no!"
run away from home
but you'll be back in two hours
you've got no money.

because you're on your own now
those TV dinners frostbitten in the freezer
you don't eat much
far too busy studying
narced-up on a prescription high
they told you it'd be better
the worst part - you listened.

baby, baby
ain't you got no sense of your own?
little girl all free
big bad world all set to swallow.

Kind of reminded me of song lyrics. Interesting. I always like your stuff, though.
