You only give a kiss if you're trying to ease the pain
From the times you're throwing me out into the rain.
I can hear your voice saying we should take things slow,
But silently you want everything you don't need to know.
The doorbell is ringing before it's even time to leave.
I fall trying to imagine a future with no you and me.
My heart is bleeding again from everywhere but my heart.
I'm feeling we are most together when we're apart.
I'm thinking I should have left her alone back there,
But I'm still carrying her over the edge to nowhere.
And again I am laying in the darkness without my dreams.
