Like swallowed smoke
an angels last breath
the ghosts in her head
she cried.
A story not remembered
But dreamed
A memory well served
Through longing
she sighed.
More fatal than a bullet
a hidden memory brought to light
sadder than a flock of doves
an exclamation not quite right
She tried.
The stars in stories
never die
only the devils suffer.
those who try the hardest
fall the farthest
those who live the saddest
die the loudest
And with tears shining down her face
She cried.

She Cried
there's a sing-song sadness to the whole of this that spoke to me. For me, the best line is "sadder than a flock of doves" which is well timed and stands out amongst the others.
