Kangaroos dancing on rooftops smiling
Donkeys flying backwards through the yard
You've given all but one toe to poverty
Now you're stuck balancing on the nail
Look to mountain peaks for silver
Ready a suitcase and fill it with numbers
Use the wind to hitch a ride

Don't remember to say goodbye

Ain't no shame in counting pennies
Brokeneck longhorns bring home bacon
Bloated bellies laugh at rented videos
While you crawl up the porch and tie your neighbors shoes

Oops, forgot to polish

There's a lamp in the moon
Someone forgot to pay the bill
Must have spent it on biscuits
For babies

Be generous with the gravy, youngblood

On The Nail
Outstanding poem. Serious business told in...surrealistic bop? Very original voice you have.

The sounds in this are awesome. I have enjoyed reading it out loud, much to the amusement of my coworkers. :)

William S Burroughs
What a cute name. I like your poetry. I like unique abstractness and surrealism in writing and art. You've put it together in a very cool way. It definitely has a bounce and beat that gets right in side the heard. It reminds me just a little bit of the William S Burroughs cut up technique and dada exquisite corpse genre- experiments in writing.
