Mistress of deceit,
sinner in all's eyes
especially my own,
are you ready to walk
this path of persecution?
At the foot of a
mountain that I, perverted
created with the
solid poisons of my own
afflicted perception
As if looking deep in
the heart of a crystal ball
with a mystic eye
I foresee clearly
this struggle ahead
that I have been
up til now
willing to endure.
Should I revert
as a coward would
to the straight course
I have strayed from?
Yes, but honestly
how far have I
really strayed
from my Father?
Embracing emotions
is a deadly sin,
yet I cover these
feeling, this sadness,
this pain, afraid
of going numb
& I never once asked
for something quite
like this yet I have
this choice,
traipse through this plight
or choose another way.
I wreak of romance,
a stench too strong
to ward off suspicion
too prevailing
to evade these hound dogs.
Worries have me paralyzed.
Decision seems impossible
cause fear overcomes me,
but still I feel this
honest obligation
for the first time
to subsist for this
princess of malediction,
wear her pain
like a purple heart
and in her name
overcome this struggle

Good Poem
This poem was free verse wasn't it? I liked the way the words were put together and the flow of thoughts were ok also.

This was well written also. I'll try and read some more of your work as soon as I can.
