Surrounded by enemies, we stand tall.
Our houses & streets kept nicely.

We will not fall to them this day or year,
A bomb falls and we catch it
Then throw it back tenfold.

We did not ask for this war dear friends,
It willingly came to us.

Religion has fueled a many aggressors.
Power has fueled a many rulers to rule.

Israel will not lose this fight,
Not today or tomorrow.
So take this into your heart brave warriors.

Hezbollah you are weak.
You will lose all you have to us.
So whimper your little tears and throw your little rockets.
The ultimate loss is yours.

Israel may be small, but we are strong and skilled.
We know your every move.
We know where you lay your head at night.
We know the foods you eat.
We know the paths you take.

So be weary little Hammas movement, you will fall also.

The people of Israel only wish to live just as any other nation in peace
Israel has a right to defend itself just as the U.S does.
Does the U.S use restraint when threatened? No

The people have spoken now win this fight for Israel and its people.

Lunatic! Where?
Who is this Alternative Lunatic? It's not me and another thing I am a woman and an American. I just try to put myself in their place and feel what they may be feeling. I think that I am more than accurate in my assumptions that are based on many sources. Fairplay thank-you for taking the time to divide my poem and make it fit your needs. I appreciate any criticism given.

Good exercises in writing from the viewpoints of the subjects. Is that what you do with some of your other writings? I know what you mean about the many sources. I almost flip my many beautiful wigs sweetie when I hear some of things said about the middle east situation. I'd rather keep my man voice and opinion out of this or I'll just blow up on some of these anti-Israel and anti-America debaters. Israel does have the right to defend herself and she is not overreacting. I'm not religious honey but I was brought up a Christian and it breaks my heart to see what has become of the world because of religious terrorism. I agree with you totally honey. I like your poem as it stands and I see no need to try and turn it into something that fits my needs or my personal political perspective of reality. Sweetheart keep on writing as you wish. You're doing good honey.

Yes, I observe and write what I see and feel.

I read your bio and followed you link. I wish you much success with you journalism career. I like the simplicity of this poem and your method as a writer is very good. These kind of exercises in writing are the kind that most writers would benefit from I believe.
