Oh my soul, my soul and my life
Lies have capsized my hopes
You were my life
What is left for me now?
I once dreamed that you belonged to me
Now I am awake and you only belong to you

Oh my eyes, my eyes and my heart
Lies have torn the veil
You were my paradise
How can I look at you now?
I once saw beauty that would not
Let me look away
Now I cannot lift my gaze
My head heavy with grief
Won’t even turn to greet you

Oh my moon, my moon and my stars
Lies have spilled like ink across the sky
You were the light of my eyes
Who will sit with me at night now?
Once the sun and the moon appeared
Because of you
Now they are gone

Oh my love, my love and my friend
Lies have poisoned your lips
You were the sweetest of sweets
Who will ever taste as sweet as you?
Once I found delight in your kisses
Now I only find hunger

Thought this was beautifully simple and simply beautiful, especially the lines "Lies have capsized my hopes" and "Lies have spilled like ink across the sky". Haunted by the honesty of "who will sit with me at night now?" Sadly I think I know how this feels.

Those damn lies...
A solemn piece.

Hunger
The hunger in the eve of a kiss, yes, I know such pain, a longing that starts in the mind yet burns the soul. Once his/her hands are fading you reach out only to grab a shadow of their essence; Very nice poem girl.
